Используется для лечения инфекции Leishmania и американского трипаносомоза (T. cruzi: болезнь Чагаса, -с. Специальная информация) и африканца (трипаносомоз Т. Гамбиенсис: Спящая болезнь).
Он выводится в грудном молоке в небольших количествах (Garcia-Bournissen 2010), и у детей не наблюдалось проблем с лечащими матерями (Schmid 2012), поэтому многие эксперты считают его совместимым с грудным вскармливанием (Sankale 1991 Barennes 2010). /p>
nifurtimox был очень хорошо переносится при введении непосредственно младенцам и новорожденным (Schmid 2012)
