Несмотря на то, что он метаболизируется на Mercaptopurine, только крошечные количества этого препарата были обнаружены в грудном молоке (4 - 18 микрограммов/литр).
Среди нескольких младенцев из грудного вскармливания матерей, которых лечили азатиоприном, не были обнаружены в крови, а побочные эффекты были обнаружены. Долгосрочные инфекционные заболевания не были более распространенными среди детей-подверженности.
Экспозиция будет сведена к минимуму, если уход будет возобновлен через 3 часа после последней дозы.
